Stan passed away 8 May 2012 in Arizona.
I had the great honor of interviewing Stan and speaking with him on many occasions as I assisted him in writing up his Reflections piece for Air Force Together We Served that was also featured in Voices. He was a fine gentleman. I remember my days as a young man in England, hearing that expression when a soldier, airman or sailor passed on that he had "Gone West". Online obituary: "In Memory of Stanley Eugene Angleton September 23, 1922 - May 8, 2012
88 of Sun City West, passed away on May 8, 2012. Stan is an Ex-POW having served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. He will be deeply missed by his family. A private military interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Hospice of the Valley , 1510 E. Flower St, Phoenix, AZ 85014. The family extends their sincerest thanks to Hospice of the Valley for the kind and loving care in the last few months of Stan's life."
