Last Known Activity Staff Sergeant Crocker was a crew member of a B-29A Superfortress Bomber (# 44-86327) with the 343rd Bomber Squadron, 98th Bomber Wing, 5th Air Force, Yokota AB, Japan.
On 1 June 1951, while bombing a railroad bridge at Kwaksan, North Korea, his aircraft was attacked by MiGs setting its wing on fire. Some crewmen were able to parachute into enemy lines.
He was taken prisoner and died in that status.
He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on 31 January 1954.
