Perry Gene Hector was born on January 19, 1932 in a small town of Coleman, Texas where he was born and raised.  Graduating Valedictorian from his high school, he chose to attend  Texas A&M University and after graduating in 1954 was commisioned in the Air Force, serving 20 years and retiring as a Major.

He was survived by his wife of 41 years, Jette V. Hector, 5 children and numerous grandkids.
