Baltier, Noel "Rocky" (Retired Sr. Master Sgt.) died suddenly at his home in Millington, TN. Noel was born December 24, 1936, in Havre de Grace, MD, to the late Capt. Edward and Violet Baltier.

The family moved to Coral Gables, FL in the 1940s and relocated to Fort Lauderdale in 1953. He graduated in 1955 from Fort Lauderdale High School, where he was a member of the Flying L football team and attended the University of Florida, where he was affiliated with Sigma Nu fraternity.

Noel later joined the U.S.Army, then the Marine Corps and finally the U.S. Air Force where he was an Intelligence Officer, serving in Viet Nam, Naples, Italy and at the Pentagon, until his retirement in October, 1981. During his service he was awarded a medal for Meritorious Service with one Oak Leaf Cluster and an Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters

Noel graduated Cum Laude with a BA from St. Leo's College, Florida and Masters of Science Degrees in both Criminal Justice and International Relations from Troy State University in Alabama.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Kimberly (Steven) Orr, Olive Branch, MS and son, Kevin (Rhonda) Baltier, Colliersville, TN; two grandsons, Christian and Creighton Baltier; sister, Bonnie (Richard) DiPacio, Fort Lauderdale, FL; nephew, Scott (Katharina) Centers, Charlotte, NC; and two greatnieces, Taylor and Chloe Centers.

A memorial service is being planned at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN, 901-725-0100.
