Lt. Col Frank Di Figlia served with the 20th Special Operations Squadron, 14th Special Operations Wing, 14th Air Force. at Ban Me Thuot, RVN. His tour began on 16 April 1968.
On 26 March 1969, he was piloting a UH-1 (# 63-13158) enroute from Ban Me Thuot to Nha Trang that crashed, possibly due to enemy fire. The aircraft crashed and burned near Duc My, SVN, 12 minutes north of Nha Trang, SVN.
