I know he also flew B-25's in states, from a Base in Alabama I Think ?

He flew 142 Combat Missions during WW2 ! Served from 1942-1972 ? Depends on who published the story on him, if retired in 1970 1971 1972 & one obituary says served 28 years, I will get it pinned down, before I have completed this TWS posting? There is only one story for 1942-1946, then his history is vague a little.
