Lt. Col. Joseph L. Hart was commander of 1st Air Commando Squadron (Pleiku) from 22 January 1967 until his death. He was killed within a month of service in Vietnam. He had attended the A-1 Skyraider Class at Hurlburt Field, "Express 28", and had served in Laon, France in 1959 with the rank of Captain.
This Veteran has an (IMO) In Memory Of Headstone in Mountain View Cemetery, Longmont, Colorado. As well as Afton Cemetery in Afton Wyoming.
