The family of Stuart Walter Buroff has requested the Patriot Guard Riders escort thier loved one to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for interment.
Mr. Buroff retired from the U.S.A.F. with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant after 28 years, serving in both Korea and Vietnam.

Stu touched the heart of everyone he knew. He served in the Air Force force for 29 years. He worked for TWA as a Flight Instructor and worked for Flight Safety as a Program Manager until retirement in 2009. Stu was a member of the V.F.W. in Altus, OK. He was past Grand Master of Masonic Lodge #62 of Altus, OK.
Services: Funeral Monday, December 14, 12 Noon at BUCHHOLZ MATH HERMANN Mortuary Cremation Center, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Peter's, MO 63376. Interment National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, MO. C-54s began service with the Army Air Forces in 1942, carrying up to 26 passengers. (Later versions carried up to 50 passengers.) The U.S. Navy also acquired the type, under the designation R5D. The C-54 was one of the most commonly used long-range transports by the U.S. armed forces in World War II. 515 C-54s were manufactured in Santa Monica, CA and 655 were manufactured in Chicago, Illinois.
After World War II, the C-54 continued to serve as the primary airlifter of the new United States Air Force and with the United States Navy.
The USAF Strategic Air Command had C-54 Skymasters in service from 1946 through 1975.
