"Colonel Andrews was a member of the 21st Tactical Air Support Squadron, Pleiku Air Base, South Vietnam. On March 4, 1966, he was the pilot of a Cessna Bird Dog Observation Aircraft (O-1G) on a cross country visual reconnaissance South Vietnam. Radio contact was lost. His remains were not recovered. He was promoted to Colonel while missing in action. He served his country during the Korean War and in Vietnam."
