I am currently working at the Walmart in Kerrville, Tx. As was the case with the military, Walmart has adopted the "Do more with less" attitude. When i first started out with the company I was assigned to the housewares department, now 5 years later I am still assigned there but with additional duties in the Domestics, Furniture, Fabrics, Paint/Hardware departments... ( and now Apparel.... for that matter.. anywhere else they think they can force us to work for a while) and at the same stinking pay.
Other Comments:
Prior to Wally World, I worked for a year at Coldwell Banker real estate company doing their MLS data entry. Prior to that, I worked in about 6 different real estate companies in the New Port Richey/ Tarpon Springs area of Florida (7yrs). Started out my real estate career in Abilene, Tx in 1994 after I retired from the AF. (My wife got tired of me sitting around the house for a year.) Family and I moved to Florida about a year after that where the wife and I obtained our Florida license... to which I still have an active license even though I no longer live there...
