His B-57 disappeared over Laos during bad weather while on a night strike mission. His remains have never been recovered. He has a memorial stone in Arlington in Memorial Section I and is also memorialized on Court A of the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial, HI. He was promoted to Lt. Col. while on MIA status. He was declared dead Jan 2, 1979.
