Other Comments:

My father was a Command Pilot,Navigator and Bombardier (as required by LeMay). He was also a B17,B24,B29,B50 and B47 pilot as well as a mulit-engine test pilot who worked for BG Paul Tibbetts at Eglin AFB. He was on staff at Hq SAC in the 50's, Hq USAF in the early 60's,HqUSAFE in the mid-late 60's and his retirement assignment was at Vandenberg AFB from 68 thru 72.
Dad was also an excellent golfer, winning base championships at numerous locations and was the USAF Senior Division Champ in either 66 or 67. He won the Senior Division at the Inter-service Championships the same year.
Mom was the ultimate service wife, working with the Red Cross as a Grey Lady at almost every base Dad was stationed. For her work, she received the Clara Barton Award when at Vandenberg in  1975. She was also a very southern lady of great class.
