The RF-101 aircraft conducted Recon out of Kadena AB Okinawa; controlled by "Treefrog" Control located on Kume Jima island (Det 2, 623rd AC&W Squadron), Okinawa. The RF-101's were from the 18th Tactical Fighter Wing and worked the coastal cities of eastern China. During the night we flight followed US Navy P2V patrol bombers on anti submarine patrols. The submarines found were plotted on the Tactical Display Board and were called "Skunks".
