Det 2, 623 AC&W Squadron (Treefrog Control) controlled F-105 Fighter Bombers of the 18th Tactical Fighter Wing from Kadena AB Okinawa and controlled the Air to Air refueling of all aircraft moving thru the 313 Air Division Area of Operations during the pre-war Viet Nam and Thiland buildup. The 623rd AC&W Squadron was awarded the USAF Outstanding Unit Ribbon for this action.
