  My Brother: Oct 19, 2010

When I first came on the site a couple of years ago, I knew no one and even less about the site, other than I
wanted to be a member.
I stumbled around for a while and then I kept seeing the name of Gary Banzhoff, "Old AP," and he appeared
everywhere and was always around when someone needed help. Well, I sure needed that! I put out a distress
call on Forums and Gary was always there, an email was sent for help, Gary was always there. So, the start
of a friendship developed, because Gary was always there!
Our emails turned into phone calls, which would last for at least an hour. This was the guy that I wanted to model
myself after; Gary was a true mentor and friend to anyone who needed one.
I really never had a close friend until I came on this site. A lot of aquaintances were made, but Gary turned out to be my
true friend,  and by this time was called my brother.
Gary and I shared so many personal things, something I could never do with anyone else. This was because of trust
and the personal qualities that Gary was made of.
Then I met Gary, at Frederick, for one of the mini's. I will never forget it, he was sitting in the corner of the parking lot waiting
for others to arrive and when he saw me pull in, he immediately got out of his car and no introductions were needed. We
hugged and tears appeared. Thus, was the start of numerous times we would see each other and yes, more phone calls.
I could go on for hours about my brother, Gary Banzhoff, but, I think by now you get the idea. He is a family man, a honest man, a man of his word, a man who would do anything humanly possible to help you.
I think it is more than fitting, that I pay tribute to a man that means so much to me and Connie. Salute, my brother now and
always.... Love Ya Brother....Dick
