Reflections on SSgt Alexander's US Air Force Service

 Reflections On My Service

PLEASE DESCRIBE WHO OR WHAT INFLUENCED YOUR DECISION TO JOIN THE AIR FORCE.
After graduating from High School, I was eligible for the draft and I knew at some point that I would be drafted. I wanted to control what service I would be drafted and not having that ability, I decided to enlist in the USAF.
WHETHER YOU WERE IN THE SERVICE FOR SEVERAL YEARS OR AS A CAREER, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE DIRECTION OR PATH YOU TOOK. WHERE DID YOU GO TO BASIC TRAINING AND WHAT UNITS, BASES, OR SQUADRONS WERE YOU ASSIGNED TO? WHAT WAS YOUR REASON FOR LEAVING?
We were raising a family and decided that we wanted more children and the sacrifices each child would encounter, we chose to return to civilian life in order to provide a more stable environment with the availability of both parents to raise our children.
