12th Combat Training Squadron readies tactical air control parties, weather teams, and brigade combat teams to execute decisive, world-wide multi-spectrum combat operations during Green Flag-West exercises at the US Army's National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif. Green Flag-West is an exercise that provides units training on a scale not available near their home stations. It replicates irregular warfare conditions currently found in overseas contingency operations, training joint and coalition warfighters to operate in future contested and degraded air-land environments
