Growing up seeing the news about Vietnam didn't compare to what the troops went through. A good friend of mine always told me stories about his time in SEA in the Army. I finally asked hem one day where he actually was at. His answer was a "place northwest of Danang called the A Shau Valley". No place in Vietnam was good and the A Shau was one of the worst.
