 Additional Information
Last Known Activity:

During a bombing mission to Jungenthal, Germany, his B-24 had engine and instrument problems and headed back to base but couldn't make it. The pilot ordered bail-out when he thought they were over Allied lines but they were actually over the German front lines. Eight of the nine crewmembers parachuted safely and were captured; but SSgt Aaronian was killed when his parachute failed to open.
