 Additional Information
Last Known Activity:

MIA 22 Aug 1944  while on a cross-country flight over Papua, New Guinea.  Flight in radio silence and bad weather executed a destination change involving a 180 degree turn.  Buster's plane, according to Donald Bridgford the Flight Leader, was missing when the Flight pulled out of the clouds . Land-Sea Rescue 'notified' after flight landed in Lae and searched on August 23 but no ship was found.
