Frank Richard Walker, age 66, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Bagram Air Force Base, Afghanistan.

Services Friday, November 6, 2009, at 11:00am, atWalker Funeral Service Chapel. Officiated by Rev. Donald Wolf. Burial will be at 1:30 pm at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Walker Funeral Service, Shawnee, OK.

He was born April 18, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Miles Ivan and Lena Mae Walker. He attended Del City HS-Del City, OK. Received BS Zoology-Oklahoma Sate University, MS Biology-Emporia State, Kansas, BS Geology-Oklahoma University, MS Environmental Engineering-Oklahoma University.

Married Jeri M. Walker 27 years ago on September 4, 1982 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His early career was spent as a Wildlife Biologist on the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge, in the Jordan, Montana area; Tinker Air Force Base-Geologist in Environmental Restoration, Professor of Math and Sciences at Rose State College for 25 years in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

He had completed 4 trips to Iraq and at the time of his death he was a Project Construction Manager for Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghan-istan. Richard was an avid hunter, fisherman, animal lover, and outdoorsman. He was a dedicated man who was willing to leave his own family behind to improve the lives of others overseas. He looked forward to returning home this spring to walk his youngest daughter, Stephanie down the aisle and retiring to his Montana ranch with his wife Jeri.

Preceded in death by mother, Lena Mae, step-daughter, Keri Anne. Survived by wife, Jeri M. Walker, father, Miles Ivan Walker, son, Frank Wayne Walker, daughters, Rhonda Kim Lincoln and husband Barry, Stephanie Paige Walker and fiance Robert Solnok, sister, Wanda Brown and husband Bob, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
