Major John B England, Ace of the 357th Fighter Group admires signed underwear sent to him by Hollywood stars Fay Emerson and Dolores Moran. Mustang fighter Pilots in the ETO, recently wrote to a number of leading American film stars, requesting that their unwanted undies should be sent to them to adorn the drab walls of the pilots' room. The stars replied that they would oblige, if, in return, the pilots would knock down an enemy plane and shoot up a few targets for them. In the words of the pilots themselves "we shot up everything that looked like a target". The boys were rewarded- film actress Marjorie Riordan obliged them with a set of autographed panties- while Faye emerson, recently married to Col Elliot Roosevelt, son of the President, sent them her slip bearing her signature. The pilots are highly proud of their collection, which are now displayed on the walls of the Pilots-room. Major John B. England, who has shot down 18 enemy planes takes a keen interest in a slip sent to the pilots by Faye Emerson.'
