Captain George Albrecht's aircraft, a T-28D (# 51-7870) was downed by AAA on 19 November, 1964 in South Vietnam. His co-pilot, 1st Lt. Leonard Hudson, was also killed.

"2 Planes, 4 Officers Missing Over Thailand", Stars and Stripes, 27 November 1964, page 23. (Report of the loss of Hudson, Eason, Albrecht, and Gordon ". . . missing for six days on a ferry flight from northeast Thailand to South Vietnam. . ." They were flying in two planes when lost.
