Last Known Activity:

He was assigned to the 1st Composite Fighter Squadron, Combat Replacement Training Center, 5th AF. He disappeared while on a training mission Sep 30, 1944. 
His crash site was investigated in 1962 and 2002 without any human remains being found. Finally in 2012, remains were found and in Jan 2015 were identified as being his. They were returned to Herkimer and buried Aug 1, 2015.
