Last Known Activity:

TSgt. Gaylord served with the 457th Tactical Airlift Squadron, 483rd Tactical Airlift Wing.

He was lost in the crash of his C-7A Caribou (#63-9746) when it was shot down by enemy ground forces.  The aircraft was on a mission to resupply the Special Forces Camp at Dak Seang (A-245) while it was under siege.
